CARBON BLACK
Carbon black is a form of amorphous carbon, mostly used as a pigment and reinforcing filling in automobile tires. It is distributed in powder or pellets sizes.It also owes the property of conducting heat away from the tread and belt area of the tire, reducing thermal damage and increasing tire life. Carbon black is also used as a pigment and reinforcement in rubber and plastic products and as a model compound for combustion and oxidation experiment. Ravenna (Italy) hosts branches of the main carbon black producers.
Mostly, this chemical product is transported:
- IN BULK – CLT avails more than 120 bulks (silo trailers unloading by gravity) used only to deliver Carbon Black to the ultimate customer
- IN BIG BAGS
- IN SMALL BAGS piled on pallets
